ASMAC received this message from composer, arranger, bass player, and bandleader, John Clayton: On Monday, November 23, 2020, I’ll be celebrating the music of composer, Johnny Mandel, along with more than 30 musicians. How fitting to have these artists who have touched us with their music, come together for the man who has supplied them/us with a wealth of expressive material. This is the biggest event I have participated in during these last 9 months. How cool that it is for a man that helped me, guided me, advised me, encouraged, and befriended me.
