ASMAC Workshop: Studio Orchestra of Long Beach (Session #1 – Beta)
ASMAC is pleased to announce that its members have an opportunity to have a piece played by the 55 piece Long Beach State Studio Orchestra conducted by Robert Luke Martin.
Instrumentation:3 Flutes/picc, 2 Oboe, 3 Clarinets, 2 Bassoons, 1 Alto Sax (ob 2 doubles on Cor Anglais); 6 French Horns, 4 Trumpets, 2 Trombones, 1 Bass Trombone, 1 Tuba; 6 Violin, 2 violas, 2-3 Cellos,1 Bass (Strings Amplified) ; 3+ Percussionists and Drum Kit; Piano, Electric Guitar and Electric Bass; SATB Choir (2 per voice)

There will be 8 randomly selected ASMAC members per session
Registration Deadline for ASMAC members in good standing – Sept 11, 2021 (11:59 pm PDT)
3 minute recommended max length of piece. (Longer pieces – possibly not be completed)
Provide readable and playable 11×17 score and 8.5 x 11 part PDFs by Oct 5, 2021 (8 pm PDT)
$45 fee (to help cover ASMAC expenses if selected for workshop, no fee for registration)
Rehearsal – Friday Oct 8, 2021 – On Zoom for writers ? (7 – 9:45 pm PDT)
Public Zoom Playdown – Friday Oct 15 2021 (7 – 9:45 pm PDT)
